Description
Oregano Oil ( Origanum vulgare )
The oil is obtained from the seeds of Mediterranean oregano plant which is traditionally used to stimulate digestion, breathing and joint function. Since time immemorial, oregano has been used as a help against moulds – and not only on the surface of the body but also those attacking the internal environment of the body. The plant contains high-quality antiseptic carvacrol which works as a natural killer of microbes, bacteria and viruses, has wide-ranged anti-infection qualities and is a highly effective antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial and disinfecting agent. It has anti-yeast properties against Candida albicans. In one clinical study oregano oil was used to treat the surface of the cells considerably damaged by the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast – and it was more effective than antibiotics. Oregano oil is more effective against Staphylococcus bacteria than antibiotics (penicillin, streptomycin and vancomycin) and it may therefore be seen as an effective medicine for the bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Oregano oil eliminates human coronavirus and prevents the replication of the virus in infected host cells. The oil is suitable for the people suffering from fungi infections and in the case of yeast, skin and mucosal infection; it is a strong antioxidant and a natural antibiotic with anti-inflammatory effects, it works as prevention and a supportive treatment of digestive, gastric and biliary problems. It is recommended in the case of infectious diarrhoea as well as constipation, parasitic diseases and it helps against skin problems (acne, psoriasis, warts, skin and nail mould). It has beneficial effects in the case of respiratory-tract infections, the inflammation of the middle ear, allergies and asthma. It is a good remedy that supports the treatment of the helicobacter infection and it also prevents it from returning.
