Carrot seed oil (Daucus carota)
The oil lowers cholesterol, prevents constipation and helps against skin diseases, low blood circulation and the weakness of the body. It protects eyesight. Consuming the oil is an easy way to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood. It is a great regeneration comestible if a person feels exhausted or is in recovery. The carrot is rich in vitamins A, B and C and beta-Carotene (good for sunbathing). Besides that, it is also rich in vitamins D, E and K. As for minerals, it contains calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, phosphor, silicon and sulphur. A high concentration of carbohydrates gives the oil its specific taste. The oil contains yet another important plant fibre – pectin. Pectin affects digestion, excretion, and sooths the gastrointestinal tract. Beta-Carotene, for a change, protects the heart and arteries, has anti-inflammatory effects and slows down body and skin aging. The carrot has yet another positive effect – it neutralizes free radicals and helps to drain toxins out of the body.
